Now in its sixth year, the series features movies that have just completed their theatrical runs. Movies are shown in the SSCT every Friday-Sunday - with minimal exceptions - during the fall and winter semesters and are open to everyone; students, faculty, staff and community members.

Three classic Alex Honnold climbing films from the creators of The Dawn Wall, The Reel Rock Film Tour, and Valley Uprising. Alone On The Wall (24:00) Twenty-three year old Alex Honnold is taking the high-stakes sport of free solo climbing to new heights. Climbing truly massive walls without a rope, and zero chance of survival if he falls, Alex is calm and fearless (except when it comes to girls). But attempting the 2,000-foot wall of Half Dome, the greatest free solo ever attempted, would finally teach Alex the meaning of fear. *Originally released in 2008* Honnold 3.0 (33:51) Alex Honnold has gained as the boldest free soloist in the history of rock climbing. But in this dangerous game, how does he balance pure ambition with self-preservation? From highball boulder first ascents to 5.13 free solos, from far-flung trad climbing adventures to speed records on The Nose, Honnold wrestles with this question in preparation for his biggest adventure yet - the Yosemite Triple. In under 19 hours he climbs Mt. Watkins, El Cap, and Half Dome all by himself. *Originally released in 2012* A Line Across The Sky (40:19) The Fitz Roy Traverse is one of the most sought after achievements in modern alpinism: a gnarly journey across seven jagged summits and 13,000 vertical feet of climbing. Who knew it could be so much fun? Join Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold on the inspiring, and at times hilarious, quest that earned the Piolet d'Or. *Originally released in 2014* Bonus Content: Alex Honnold Breaks Out (15:58) In an excerpt from Sender Films' feature length documentary "The Sharp End," a team of American climbers visit Saxony to sample the old world climbing area of Elbsandstein. Among the sandstone towers, they experience first-hand the infamous restrictive climbing ethics and permissive drinking antics in this former eastern-bloc region. One day at the crag, a young Alex Honnold steps into the limelight, as he ropes up on a stunning, terrifying lead. *Originally released in 2008*

Age of Ondra is a rock climbing film featuring the lesser known Adam Ondra. But Ondra is widely recognized to the rock-climbing community as one of the strongest rock climbers of 2010 (if not the strongest!). Having successfully climbed a large number of the most difficult routes in the world, watch this 25 year-old Czech native as he prepares to push himself further than he ever has before.

In order to prepare to climb the Dawn Wall, Tommy Caldwell spent two years drilling bolts by hand into the rock at 45- minutes a bolt. He also had to spend that time remembering the sequence of the route to a tee in order to plan out how he would link up each and every move.

This section of the mountain is considered as exceptionally difficult, and involves incredibly technical rock climbing skills near the peak. Heavy climbing gear must also must be carried to the summit. Often considered as the most coveted line in the entirety of the Himalayas, this film offers a raw look at the realities and dangers of climbing rock faces such as these.

The in-world cinema of Fortnite will screen a yet-unconfirmed old Christopher Nolan film for free this summer, Epic have revealed after debuting a trailer for his new film, Tenet. It's going to be Inception they show, isn't it? Gotta be. Inception turns ten in July, it's like a big ol' video game itself, they could add fun in-game effects with folding worlds and slowed time... it'd make sense. I mean, it's probably not going to be Memento, is it? But first, Tenet.

After a busy week, you might love the thought of a family game night, but in reality, rounding up all the kids and settling them down for a board game is more work than you need or want. So instead, you might consider a family movie night.

A family movie night at home will still bring the whole family together, but with less effort than a game night. Plus it saves money compared to taking everyone to the theater, which can be so expensive now days!

If you want to go all out and make special desserts and treats for the family, by all means, go for it! But chances are, you want to keep family movie night as simple and effortless as possible. In that case, I highly recommend choosing ready-made snacks and healthier options, like fruit.
